Hope is Just a Cow Away

My Brides of Last Chance Ranch series takes place on a cattle ranch in Arizona Territory in the 1890s. The ranch began when an injured Englishman gave a heifer to the Walker family in gratitude for saving his life. He tells Mrs. Walker to use it to feed her family but she's too smart for that. Instead, she decides to go into the cattle business (yep, in the middle of the desert!). Her ranch becomes one of the largest cattle ranches in Windy Valley--and it all began with one heifer.

My story is fiction, of course, but the reality is that Heifer International has been giving away livestock and changing lives for years. To celebrate my new series I’m working with Heifer on a project to donate two heifers. Would you join me in helping families in need achieve self reliance and sustainable livelihoods?
